Bicycle Info
The San Francisco Bicycle Coalition will be providing bicycle valet services for the US Half Marathon
from 6:30am - 11:00am. We've sponsored this service and encourage runners to take advantage and help promote cycling and alternate means
of travel. It will also warm you up for a better race time!
The Bicycle Valet will be located on the Municipal Pier near the start & finish line.
Golden Gate Bridge Announcement
On Sunday, November 5th, the 5th Annual US Half Marathon comes to San Francisco. As with last year's race, the course crosses the Golden Gate Bridge sidewalks twice (northbound on the east sidewalk, and southbound on the west sidewalk). To accommodate the race, with 3,000 registered participants, both the east and west sidewalks of the Golden Gate Bridge will be closed that morning from 7 am to 9 am. In addition, the Caltrans operated Vista Point parking lot on the northeast will be closed from 6 am to 10 am.
Between the hours of 7 am and 9 am, bicyclists and pedestrians needing access across the Golden Gate Bridge can use the free shuttle service. The shuttle stop on the south side will be in the southeast parking lot and the shuttle stop on the north side will be along the northbound Alexander Avenue off-ramp bus stop.
The course will take runners from Aquatic Park, through historic Fort Mason, into the Marina and across the newly renovated Crissy Field, through the Presidio and across the Golden Gate Bridge.
