How do I register for the US Half Marathon, San Francisco?
The US Half provides simple & secure online registration. Register Now!
What forms of payment do you accept?
If I cant make the race can I get a refund?
Entry fees are non-refundable and entries are non-transferable. Sorry, no exceptions. This means once we receive and accept your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate and you will not be able to give or sell your number to anyone else. Registrations will not be transferred to the following year or another event.
What does my registration in the US Half include?

The US Half Marathon, San Francisco is USATF certified & sanctioned. The course certification number is #CA0301TK.

Is there bicycle parking?
We will be providing free bicycle parking through the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition on the
Municipal Pier near the start line.
How many aid stations will there be and where?
Water will be available at 5 aid stations (approx every 2 miles) along the course, and at the finish.
Is there medical help available?
Yes, there will be roving medical staff throughout
the course, first aid kits at every aid station and numerous radios to dispatch
the necessary medical staff & ambulance for more serious injuries.
How do I become a sponsor?
Can I roller blade, bike or skateboard the course?
No, due to safety reasons we cannot permit the use of these items on the course. Our
permits and insurance cover us exclusively for a running event.
Can I bring my dog?
No, for safety reasons, we cannot allow dog or other
pets to be on the course with the runners.
Can I run the race course if I am not registered?
No, registration fees include numerous permits and insurance policies that create a safe
environment and protect our runners and the race course. To insure the safety of our runners, athletes without official bib numbers will not be allowed onto the Golden Gate Bridge.
How will the race be timed?
Results will be computerized by chip timing. For more information, click here.
Does The US Half Marathon have a registrant cut-off?
Online registration will close the Friday before the race, but you can still register at the Expo.
How long is the course open?
The course will be closed to vehicular traffic up to a 13 minute per mile
pace. Slower runners and walkers who cannot keep this pace will be subject
to street re-openings and will need to proceed along the side of the
course via sidewalks. The Finish Line will remain open until 4 hours
following the start.
Are walkers and back of the pack runners welcome?
The US Half Marathon welcomes walkers and back of the pack
runners - but note the item above, that the streets will reopen to
vehicular traffic and that slower participants will need to move to the
side of the course.
The water stations in the second half of the course will
remain open for slower runners, but we also suggest that walkers and slower
participants consider using a fanny pack that accommodates a water bottle.
What is the entry fee for The US Half Marathon?

How do I receive my Race Packet?
All runners are required to pick-up their race packets at the Expo. If you are unable to join us at the Expo, you may send a family member or friend with a copy of your driver's license to pick up your packet.
Can I take public transportation to the start line?
Muni provides a safe, fast and efficient way to the start and staging area.
You can either disembark at Hyde St., Van Ness; Lombard or
take a ride on the historic F-Line to Jefferson and Jones. Visit our Get Around section.
Is there a place to check clothing on race morning?
We will be checking gear that morning. All runners who want to check
gear will need to use the provided bag from the expo. Please use the pen provided at the expo to write your race number on the bag. Your clothes
will be at the finish line for you to pick them up by race number. Once again, you may
only check the clear plastic gear bag that is provided to you when you
pick up your bib number and t-shirt at the Expo.
Where can we park?
On event morning, you can park for special rates at our affiliated garages.
From there, it's a very short walk to the starting line at Muni Pier.
Are there restrooms on the course?
There will be plenty of restrooms at the start & finish line at Aquatic Park. There will also be restrooms at mile 4 & 9 and on the north end of the Golden Gate Bridge. Where can I find results?

Volunteers
Can I volunteer to help?
Absolutely, the US Half Marathon is always looking for volunteers to staff aid stations, be a course marshall, and at the start and finish. Volunteers are

I am coming from out of town, where should I stay?
The Hyatt Fisherman's Wharf is our Official Host Hotel. They are offering a great rate and is also the location of Expo.

How can I use public transportation?
Photography
Will there be photos taken?
A professional photography team from brightroom will take
your photo during the race, and at the finish line and will be available for
post-race candid photographs with your family, friends and/or athletic
supporters. Be sure to wear your bib number where it's visible and smile
when you see the photographers (even if it hurts!)
These photos will be posted on brightroom three days after the event, visit brightroom.com

Yes, once your team is established, you're team members need to register individually with the exact team name.
